Same Tomcat problem

Posted: 1 Aug 2003
Hello there! Thanks for posting this intro to JSP. However, I'm having the same problem when adding the line

<Context path="/star" docBase="star" debug="1" reloadable"true"/>

Even when I've created the folder, Tomcat would shut down anyway. And no bother to remove the line, Tomcat wont be able to start again until reinstall.

Anyway I've notice a couple of things that may help solving this problem, I didn't find any CLASSPATH environment variable when doing that variable setting thing and I'm using JSDK 1.4 and windows XP. Well, thank you again and hope you can help me!

hermano, this tutorial has been updated. Now you don't need to edit server.xml file at all. Please re-read this tutorial and hopefully you'll be able to successfully install, configure, and start Tomcat server.

Faisal Khan.
