Permission Denied on root of C drive

Permission Denied on root of C drive

I'm getting a permission denied error on line 125, but only when I try to list the root of C drive. All subfolders of C Drive list out ok. I tried giving IUSER_MYMACHINE permissions on Entire C drive, but that did not help. Any Idea why I can't browse to the root of my C drive?
